No doubt we are living through despairing times. Many writers, myself included, find it difficult to concentrate on writing with our minds focused sharply on current events.
One of my favorite authors, Ray Bradbury, used writing as an escape. This quote by him is inspirational, even motivational.

An encouraging quote from Ray Bradbury.

There was blog hop recently about killing off characters. I’m a happy ending guy. regardless of the hardships or chaos.
Here’s one of my favorites. “A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.”

I’ve found it hard to concentrate, Jack, but I’m trying to write. The focus is a complete escape. Great quote.

I’m also finding it difficult to write during this lockdown, Jack. Although I’m quite a home bird I don’t like feeling trapped and have not been able to visit any of my family, including my mother and grandchildren. On the plus side, whenever I’m frustrated or annoyed I tend to do something physical – no, I don’t attack anyone, lol – so our badly neglected garden is looking better and the house renovation has started again.
